both my hands are completely fucked up at the moment. i’m finally starting to see the wear and tear from not knowing when to just take time off and let myself recover.
i went snowboarding last weekend and ate shit pretty hard towards the end of the last run and hurt my left hand and wrist. it was swollen pretty badly but i’ve been lifting pretty hard through it and the swelling hasn’t settled down yet.
my right hand is also disfigured and in pain from sprains and minor fractures. my thumb, at one point, was useless for two months after breaking the base of the digits, then breaking the digits above it trying to block a knee-on-belly attempt while trying to switch into half guard from bottom.
so yeah, learn from my mistakes and fucking take the time off if you really need it. weight lifting/brazilian jiu jitsu/exercise can take a breather for once.
but on a brighter note, i deadlifted 5x365lbs today.
